Mission Statement

The mission of our parish is to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and in wholeness through spiritual renewal and evangelization in such as manner as to help us to experience the presence of Christ in our lives and each other.

As Baptized Christians, we are all called to be disciples of Jesus and to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God just as Jesus did. As disciples we live the same vision that Jesus lived and we become responsible for passing that vision on to others and to future generations.

In order to do this we must be good stewards of all the gifts God has given to us, for his gifts are given not just for ourselves, but for the purpose of building up His Body. As good stewards, we share our time, our talents, and our treasure in order to build up the Body of Christ.

A strong sense of community, involvement, sacrifice, and commitment enabled O.L.R. to come into being originally and will continue to make us "A Christian Family: Welcoming, Sharing, and Growing."

We offer Children’s Liturgy of the Word at all masses; education for our children, youth and adults; Scriptural growth; spiritual growth; social activities; inspiring music, heart-touching liturgies; and support for those who are hurting or grieving. As you explore our website you will see that there is so much offered here for all the members of our family no matter what their age may be.

Each member of our parish is unique, and also important to the whole body:

As we learn in 1 Corinthians 12: 1 – 27, each person has a unique gift to offer to the whole body, and when some are missing, the whole body cannot function as well. Some of us are Christ’s hands; others His feet; His eyes; His voice. Together we make up this powerful whole. We are the Body of Christ, loving and caring for one another, and those the Lord brings into our lives.

We are the Body of Christ, continuing the work of Christ, the “light of the world,” in the Greenhills, Forest Park, Fairfield and Springfield Township areas. We hope you will join us!
