Network of Care...Please call 825-8626 for more information. In all families there is a time for giving and a time for receiving: a time to help and a time to be helped. Please feel "at home" on either side. If you have a need, let us try to help. If you are willing to help someone in need, let us try to make that connection with you. For further information contact Kathy Klich. MEALS MINISTRY: This ministry provides meals for families in times of severe illness, hardship, or death. If you are in need or can help to cook -- CONTACT: Mary Harper. MEALS FOR NEW MOMS: This ministry provides several meals for families who have just had a new baby. If you would like to receive this service, or if you can help cook meals occasionally, please CONTACT: Maria Veith WELCOMING MINISTRY: New parishioners are registered in our parish by our Pastoral Associate, Kathy Klich. She welcomes them, supplies them with information about the parish and a welcoming gift and answers their immediate questions or needs. Parishioners who serve on the Welcoming Ministry then contact the new parishioner to welcome them to the parish and to help them find some connections or make friends here. CONTACT: Kathy Klich VISITATION MINISTRY: This ministry provides trained parish volunteers to visit members of our parish who are sick, elderly, bereaved or in a nursing care center. Their purpose is to spend some time with these parishioners to express the love and concern of the community and to pray with those who find it difficult to attend parish functions on a regular basis. For more information on receiving a visit or becoming a visitor, please CONTACT: Maureen Lorenz TAPE MINISTRY: One mass is taped each weekend and a copy of the tape is taken to our homebound parishioners by their communion minister. This ministry also records special parish events and makes copies available to parishioners at a nominal cost. ALOIS ALZHEIMER CENTER CATHOLIC SERVICE: Volunteers from OLR offer love and caring support to the Alois residents every Tuesday at 2P.M. Various Religious services are offered at that time-- either a Rosary Service, a Communion Service, or Mass. If you can help, CONTACT: Bill Glandorf. CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP: This group is offered through Catholic Social Services of our Cincinnati Archdiocese for persons in our geographic area who are caring for aged or disabled relatives or friends. It offers psychological support as well as connections to various helpful resources available in the Cincinnati area. The group meets at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Activity Center on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. They do NOT meet in November and December due to the holidays. PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY: Each week prayer requests from parishioners are distributed by e-mail to Prayer Ministers and our Small Church Communities who pray daily for these needs. Many of our homebound parishioners participate in this ministry offering daily prayers for the needs of our parish. Prayer requests can be dropped into the box at the back of the church or phoned in to the parish office. Prayer requests can be made by first name only in order to maintain confidentiality. Please also let us know when your prayer request has been answered so we can offer thanks to God. CONTACT: Barb Grothjan CARE NOTES: These pamphlets address various challenges and concerns of life as well as help in prayer. They are available in the back of our Church, and in our Parish Activity Center for folks to pick up for themselves or to give to friends in need.
